DPD supports adding sub-users to a paid, primary vendors account. Sub-user accounts are designed for giving limited access to the vendors account without access to sensitive billing or configuration settings.
There are 2 permissions you can assign to Sub-User accounts. Sub-users can have one or both permissions based on what you need them to have access to. No permission level gives them access to your billing information, payment processing information, or any store settings.
The permission levels are as follows:
- Customer Service- This permission level gives access to purchases, customers, and coupons. They can re-send purchase emails, up customer download limits, export data, create coupons, and every other option under the Customers and Orders tabs in the DPD admin.
- Product Management- This permission level gives access to the Products tab and everything it has to offer. They can create new products, edit existing ones, upload product files, and setup and send product updates.
*Sub-user accounts can be edited to remove or grant permissions during or after creation. While it is not possible to delete sub-user accounts, they can be deactivated to revoke access.
To create a new sub-user account start by going to the Manage Sub-Users option from the Profile menu in DPD.
Select the green Add Sub-User button in the upper right corner of the page.
On the create sub-user page you will be prompted to enter their name, email, password, and which permissions you'd like the sub-user to have.
Note: Sub-Users use their email address and the password you set on the account to login. Their email address is their login.
Sub-users log in the same as vendors and see a modified dashboard based on their assigned permissions.
We hope you enjoy this new feature! Please feel free to direct any feedback or bug reports to our helpdesk.
