Google Checkout - Specifying Taxes and Shipping

DPD supports shipping and taxes by providing information to Google Checkout so that you can charge taxes and shipping through Google Checkout.  Configuring Google Checkout to charge tax and shipping is straight forward and easy.

Charging Tax with Google Checkout

  1. Login to your Google Checkout account.  
  2. Click on the Settings tab.
  3. Once on the settings tab, click on the Tax Setup link and  then click on Edit Your Tax Settings
  4. Select the method you want to use for charging taxes:
    1. Domestic and international Taxes
  5. Choose the states and/or countries you want to charge tax in
  6. If not using Google's Tax Data System, you'll then specify the rate you want to charge for each area.

Charging Shipping with Google Checkout

  1. Login to your Google Checkout account.  
  2. Click on the Settings tab.
  3. Once on the settings tab, click on the Shipping Setup link and  then click on Create a New Method
  4. Select how you want to calculate shipping:
    1. Flat Rate
    2. Custom Table
    3. Carrier Calculated
  5. Fill out the shipping wizard to define your shipping options.

You can create as many shipping options as you like to offer to your customers.
