Note: Items sold through DPD using Google Checkout as payment processor must comply with the Google Checkout Content Policy for acceptable products.

Google Checkout is very easy to setup with DPD.  If you do not already have a Google Checkout account, please signup for one before continuing.

  1. Login to your Google Checkout account.
  2. Click on the Settings tab.
  3. Once on the settings tab, click on the Preferences link and set the Order Processing option to "Automatically authorize and charge the buyer's credit card." and save.

This is important because DPD will not deliver the product until the order is actually charged (to prevent scams), so for instant delivery you'll need to tell Google Checkout to automatically charge right away for orders.

  4. Click on the Integration link on the left side of the page.

From here we highly recommend that you have two windows open.  One with your Google Checkout account, and one with your DPD account.  We will be copying and pasting between both sites.

  1. Login to DPD if you aren't already logged in.
  2. Choose the store you want to edit from the store pulldown on the top of the page.
  3. Click on Payment Methods from the left menu.
  4. Click on Add next to Google Checkout
  5. Copy your Google Merchant ID and Key from your Google Checkout account and paste them into the appropriate fields.
  6. Copy the Google Checkout API Callback URL and paste it into your Google Checkout account.
  7. Verify that your Callback contents are set to Notification as XML in Google Checkout.
  8. Verify that the API Version is set to 2.0 or 2.1.  Newer API Versions may cause trouble activating purchases.  Version 2.5 will not work.
  9. Save your settings in both DPD and Google Checkout.

Your DPD Store Setup page will look like this (with your own Google Checkout merchant ID and key):

Your Google Checkout integration page will look like this (with your own callback URL):

That's it!  You are now ready to start selling your products through Google Checkout.

If I have more than one DPD website how I do set up Google Checkout, I can only see space in Checkout for one DPD API callback URL?
